Tips From GalbaniĀ® Mozzarella Fresca™

Serving Tips

Most dishes taste even better when paired with the right wine. For dishes featuring the delicate taste and texture of GalbaniĀ® Mozzarella Frescaā„¢ fresh mozzarella, try a light red wine, such as a Beaujolais Nouveau, or a lively white wine, such as Sauvignon Blanc. For dishes featuring the creamy and delightful flavor of GalbaniĀ® Mozzarella Frescaā„¢ mascarpone, sip a sweet wine like Moscato d'Asti, or any fruity, light- to medium-bodied dessert wine.

As with most cheeses, fresh mozzarella is best eaten at room temperature. For the softest texture and fullest taste, remove it from the refrigerator 30 minutes to an hour before you plan to serve it.

Ricotta's mild and pleasing taste is amazingly versatile, and a perfect complement to everything from lasagna and stuffed shells to cheesecake, pancakes, and pies.

Buying and Storing Tips

Uneaten fresh mozzarella is best stored in water. So, keep the water when you have water-packed mozzarella. If you need to store unused fresh-sealed fresh mozzarella, simply place it in a container with water and a sealed lid. You may want to change the water daily.

As with all fresh cheese, GalbaniĀ® Mozzarella Frescaā„¢ fresh mozzarella tastes the best when it's at its freshest. So you'll want to consume it within a few days after being purchased.
Ricotta should always be refrigerated in its original container with the lid tightly sealed. Once opened, use within one week for best results.
